Lions Aid Burns Unit

The Lower Hutt Lions Club has donated a new washing machine to the Hutt Hospital Burns Unit.

Pictured left to right is Carolyn Braddock with Lion Club President Victor Campbell presenting the plaque for the machine. The new Fisher & Pykel Smart Drive valued at $1200 replaces the old machine bought in 1988.

Carolyn Braddock, Clinical Nurses Manager for the Burns unit said, "We are very grateful to the Lower Hutt Lions Club for their kind donation. We get a lot of patients from out of town, some of which arrive only with what they were wearing at the time of their accident. This machine will be very valuable."
