- Fred Allen was elected Chairman
- Athol Greetree was elected Deputy Chair but then
declined the position.

Committee member.

five women and only two men.
- Mayor Terris said a walkway was likely to be named

- Artie Wallace spoke in favour of the Community Hall
being returned to community control, noting that a levy of sixpence per dwelling was paid
by rate payers in the area to help cover the costs of building the hall.
- Stan Foote also spoke in favour of returning the
hall to community use, saying that Taita Central is one of the rare schools in the region
that doesn't have its own hall. They would use the community hall if it was available.
- Steve Ritchie spoke saying the council is using the
current survey and call for submissions on the Draft Annual Plan to push through
a rate rise when The Terris City Vision team promised no rate rise. He called for the
Northern Ward to be exempt from any rise because there was nothing proposed in the plan to
be spent in Taita, Pomare or Stokes Valley.
- Peter Peterson commented on the Percy Cameron -
High street intersection saying that numerous crashes there indicated that something
should be done to fix it.
- Ian Campbell commented on the same issue.
