BURGLARIES:
The Valley has had a total of three burglaries for April, with two being committed during
daylight hours and one committed at night. As in previous months, cash and playstations
were targeted.
I have an engraver at the office so you can engrave your stereo or playstation. It would
be a lot harder for these criminals to sell your property on if your name is on it.
THEFT EX-CAR:
This offence is rearing it head once again, three cars have been broken into so far this
month. It cannot be stressed enough, please don't leave valuables in your car.
DRIVING OFFENCES
Due to a series of complaints in relation to speed, patrols have now stepped up targeting
speedsters in our area. Also Boyracers and trail-bikers (possibly unlicensed) in our area
seem to have increased in numbers and they appear intent on drawing attention to
themselves by dropping wheelies around the town. Please if you witness this behaviour ring
the Police!
Just a reminder to these people that the instant fines now a very heavy. If you are
unlicensed or you breach the conditions of your licence, it's a $400.00 fine. So don't
grizzle when you get caught
Two young trail bikers were caught recently along with three boyracers. No warnings were
given and each person walked away with several hundred dollars worth of fines.
While operating in the Valley, checkpoints have apprehended a large number of disqualified
or suspended drivers. Please remember that if you are forbidden to drive and you are
caught, you will also lose your car.
LOST AND FOUND
I have had a couple of religious compact discs and nice piece of jewellery handed to the
office.
