Stokes Valley Plunket is run by Marie
Smith (pictured). Clinics are held each Tuesday and Wednesday morning at the Plunket Rooms
in Evans Street. Marie covers Pomare on Thursdays and does home-visiting on Fridays. The
Karitane nurse is at the Plunket Rooms on Monday mornings and does home visits on Monday
afternoons.An under-two play group has just started. Run on Friday mornings at 10.30.
The
Government only pays salaries and petrol re-imbursements for Plunket staff. Local funding
has to cover all other operational expenses. While there is no current Plunket Committee
for Stokes Valley, there is a core support group of committed helpers who work hard to see
