The team was sponsored by Dick Werry and Red
Tomatoes Pizza Restaurant. The team was managed by Lloyd Kelly.
This is only the second season that this team has played together, and they exceeded all
expectations against very strong competition from throughout the Wellington region.
Stokes Valley Rugby
This year we are fielding Senior 1, Senior 3, Colts,
Reserve 1, two Presidents Teams and three Netball Teams.
Old-Timers Day (1 June): There will be home games and junior games. A luncheon for
the older generation and then evening entertainment by Billy Cadillac. Invited guests will
include the 1984 junior team.
If you have a spare Saturday afternoon why not come down to the park and support your
local rugby team? Its well worth a watch!
